Jazz Club Wheels was founded in 1998. It is situated in the center of Novi Sad, in Natoseviceva St. 4. Since the beginning the club hosted over 500 noncommercial music events. The main goal of the line up schedule is to promote and expand urban, jazz inspired culture. The program meets the needs of the people who stop by regularly.

Even nine years ago the club was recognized as the only club in Vojvodina with regular jazz line up or theme nights. Some of them were:

• over 300 jazz music nights

• Italian jazz musicians gigs (Umbria Jazz Fest Novi Sad 2006)

• around 30 string and flute orchestra concerts

• 5 plays (café adjusted)

• over 50 bands playing French gitan jazz

• 15 La Sed Gitana dancing group shows

• jewelry exibitions

• 5 Radio 021 music editions promoted

• music workshops during the Jazz Festival in Novi Sad

As in the words of Louis Armstrong Jazz is a part of life, the bridge connecting people, our idea and the thought of our club came up as Get close(r) – bringing music of old and new times together. The new Jazz Club Wheels was called after the Aleksandar Dujin jazz album from 1993 Wheelz Around the World, symbolically representing time and music travel going on in the club.

From the start Jazz Club was the place where the gigs were organized not because of the money and engagement, but because of the pleasure, experimenting and promoting. All the musicians in Novi Sad took part in that. By changing concept we expect to modernize our club and attract new, young people, but with leaving some of the traditional Jazz Club style.

Now we have even more of the new to give. Line – ups dedicated to acoustic gipsy jazz we already had are booked for Tuesdays, this time in combination with fado and flamenco. Naturally, mainstream cool jazz nights the club is known for are on the menu for regular guests.

Somewhat more modern vibrations will be served in the form of DJ and live jazz acts as an experiment called Electro Jazz Night, aiming to attract people with different interests.
